Ask Move Cheap®: House Closings

This week's Ask Move Cheap® segment comes from Dan of Cincinnati, Ohio. Dan asks:

"What happens if the closing on my house is delayed?"

No worries, Dan. This is a circumstance that we're not only accustomed to, but happens often in the moving business. When a lender or another party misplaces a document, it causes a closing to become delayed. Don't get discouraged, because Move Cheap® will work with you to reschedule your moving date. You don't lose your deposit because it transfers to your next choice of day. When you are made aware of your delay, contact us immediately so that we can discuss the next available date that works for you and for us.

Many times, customers will set up their move on the same day or the next day of their closing. While we are happy to do this, it can cause stress for the customers in the event of a delay in the closing process. We recommend scheduling your move at a minimum of one week from your time of closing to combat any unforeseen circumstances. This will help to give you ample time to re-coordinate your move if their is a delay.

We hope this answers your question, Dan. From all of us at the Move Cheap® Cincinnati Movers, we hope your move is a great one!
