Moving Tip of the Week: Packing Play List

As you favorite local movers in Cincinnati, one of the things customers tell us at Move Cheap® is that they hate to pack.  In fact, packing is the number one item our customers dislike about the moving process.  We're here to help you get through it.  We happily offer packing services to our customers, but to those who'd like to do it themselves, we offer this suggestion:  create a playlist to listen to while you're packing!  It will help lighten the mood, keep you motivated, and alleviate some of the stress that comes with moving.  To help get you started, we've listed our packing playlist below.  Love or hate them, the following 10 songs are recommended by the Move Cheap® Cincinnati Movers to listen to while packing:

1.  Rocketeer by Far East movement

2.  Learn To Fly by the Foo Fighters

3.  Perfect Day by Hoku

4.  500 Miles by The Proclaimers

5.  Send Me On My Way by Rusted Root

6.  Africa by Karl Wolf

7.  Soak Up The Sun by Sheryl Crow

8.  C'mon 'N Ride It (The Train) by Quad City DJ's

9.  Getting Jiggy Wit It by Will Smith

10.  The Game of Love by Michelle Branch featuring Santana

From all of us at the Move Cheap® Cincinnati Movers, we hope your move is a great one!

Ask Move Cheap®: House Closings

This week's Ask Move Cheap® segment comes from Dan of Cincinnati, Ohio. Dan asks:

"What happens if the closing on my house is delayed?"

No worries, Dan. This is a circumstance that we're not only accustomed to, but happens often in the moving business. When a lender or another party misplaces a document, it causes a closing to become delayed. Don't get discouraged, because Move Cheap® will work with you to reschedule your moving date. You don't lose your deposit because it transfers to your next choice of day. When you are made aware of your delay, contact us immediately so that we can discuss the next available date that works for you and for us.

Many times, customers will set up their move on the same day or the next day of their closing. While we are happy to do this, it can cause stress for the customers in the event of a delay in the closing process. We recommend scheduling your move at a minimum of one week from your time of closing to combat any unforeseen circumstances. This will help to give you ample time to re-coordinate your move if their is a delay.

We hope this answers your question, Dan. From all of us at the Move Cheap® Cincinnati Movers, we hope your move is a great one!

Moving Tip of the Week: Moving Pads

As your favorite Cincinnati moving company, Move Cheap® always provides tools & multiple dollies at no additional charge with all of our services. Customers are still responsible for supplying moving pads and blankets, and one of the number one questions we receive is "How many blankets should I supply?".

Moving pads and blankets are important to supply with your truck because they help prevent scratches and dings to your furniture during transit. They are typically available from wherever you're renting your truck or mobile storage unit from. Below you will find the number of moving pads we suggest based on the size of truck you rent:

  • 10 ft truck: 12 pads
  • 12 - 14 ft truck: 18 pads
  • 16 - 17 ft truck: 24 pads
  • 20 - 22 ft truck: 30 pads
  • 24 - 28 ft truck: 48 pads

We recommend blankets that are at least 68" by 55". If you're moving into a storage unit and are unable to rent moving pads, you can always purchase them from us or we can help you find a location to purchase them from!

From all of us at the Move Cheap® Cincinnati Movers, we hope your move is a great one!
