Moving Tip of the Week: How To Choose A Moving Labor Company

As Cincinnati movers, Move Cheap has been servicing the tri-state market since 2005. In that time, the moving labor market has grown and there are several companies out their for you to choose from. While we hope you would choose us as your Cincinnati moving labor service, here are a few things to consider when choosing your company:

• Some local moving labor services promising to help have created one or more of their own "associations" in order to make themselves appear more legitimate. Don't let companies like this trick you into trusting them.
• Many companies talk about being legal. These are the same companies who try to bend the rules and steal the identity of other truly legitimate businesses. To verify whether a company is legal or not, visit the Ohio Secretary of State website to check to see if your moving labor company has been registered as a business and when.
  
• Some companies talk about having true "movers" insurance, but won't go further to explain what that insurance is. The only insurance required for a moving labor company to truly protect your premises and possessions is a liability insurance and a care & custody insurance. Your company should be more that willing to provide you with this documentation.
  
• No moving labor company in the state of Ohio can drive your rental truck. Only full services companies registered with Public Utilities Commission of Ohio can do that. If a moving labor service offers to drive your rental truck, they are making an illegal offer that could end up costing you thousands! You can go to this site to find a list of companies that are legally allowed to drive moving trucks.
• Check their address! Some moving labor companies have registered one or more of their locations as a PO Box, or a "mailing address" from a UPS store to make themselves seem larger or more legit. If you can't find your company of choice, they're likely an illegal company.

The 2010 22nd Annual Teen Response Celebrity Softball Game

On July 21st, 2010, The Move Cheap Cincinnati Movers will again be sponsoring the Annual Teen Response Celebrity Softball Game! This year's event will be a little different as it is being televised on Fox Sports so that a great charity can reach a broader audience. Come out and support a good cause and also get to meet some of your favorite local celebrities from around Cincinnati, including Bengals and Reds players! You can also come out to meet Mr. Move Cheap, our company mascot! The gates at Marge Schott Stadium open at 6:00 pm to begin seating, and starting this May, we will be giving tickets away to customers who say "WHO DEY" when they book their orders.

15 Days Unitl the Grand Opening of the Move Cheap Store

The sign is up at our new store, and we are now only 15 days away from the grand opening on May 1st, 2010. After years of work and planning, our customers will now be able to rent their trucks directly from us as we've been made a local Certified U-Haul Dealership! Mobile storage will also be a snap, as you'll be able to visit our store and view one of our on site PACK-RAT units, and set up a date for delivery of your PACK-RAT. We will also have a full array of boxes and moving supplies in our show room for you to purchase. And, as always, you can still hire The Move Cheap Cincinnati Movers to load and unload your belongings at the price you've come to know city-wide. Moving Tip of the Week: Drawers

As movers in Cincinnati, one of the top ten questions we are asked is, "Do we need to empty out our drawers?". The answer to this question is YES. The added weight from the contents of your drawers not only makes it more difficult to move them, but in some instances can cause your furniture to break. While we will on occasion move dressers and other furniture with the drawers still in them, it can also be a good idea to remove the drawers completely. Some areas of your house, condo, apartment, rental truck or storage unit may require your furniture to be turned or moved on it's side or diagonally. In these instances, it is always necessary to remove the drawers so that components don't become jammed or break.
